In today’s episode, I share a powerful story with you. I recently reached out to the members of the Fertility Friday Facebook Community and asked if anyone had experienced negative side effects on hormonal contraceptives. The responses were overwhelming, and today I invited Madeline on the show to share her experience with hormonal contraceptives. Specifically how they contributed to her experience of painful sex and also her decision to undergo surgery to remove a part of her vulva as a way to treat it.

Emily Rose says
Hi my name is Emily and I have struggled with Endometreosis as well as many pelvic floor pain issues talked about in this podcast. I have done all the things to try to help my pelvic floor muscles to calm them down for sex, and I wanted to ask what specifically this gal Madeline used to help her pain. She said that she used testosterone cream? I would love to hear more about this as it’s something I’ve never tried before. Obviously going off birth control would be the first thing to do, which I’ve already done. I’ve also had two laparoscopies which have been successful and probably helped aid me in getting pregnant along with the Fertility Awareness method. Sorry probably TMI, but I am so interested in this topic vulvodynia because it’s never spoken about and it’s a horrifying pain to have. Would love to hear more about how you can heal it? I saw a PT that I call my “vagina personal trainer” for 2 years, and she was amazing at teaching me methods to relax and to use dialators. It helped immensely, however I still manage alot of pain.

Hello, how can I get in touch with Madeline? I emailed a while ago but never heard back. I have my appointment in 2 days and really need to know which cream she used so I can request it. I also wanted to know how long she was using it before she began feeling better. I know you make these podcasts to help people, which is really appreciated. But there should be a way to ask follow-up questions and contact the person so we can get the help we need so badly. You can give Madeline my email.
Thank you!
